Commission FAQ'S

 
 What is a commissioned painting?
It’s a painting that is costumed made just for you.  
How do I know what I want?
Describe as specifically as possible what you are thinking about.  What subject do you want----> Landscape, Portrait, Still life, or  Abstract? Is this a gift?  Is a holiday coming up?  We will discuss materials necessary, color swatches, and reference photos. Ask me questions!  
How much does it costs?
Flat Fee upon signing the contract (non-refundable):$50.00
Costs are based on the Surface, Mediums, Time, and  Shipping.
What is the Contract?
After we negotiate the terms and details of your commission, I will email or snail mail you the contract.  This is a contract that outlines costs, the due date, and copyright information.
 Do I have to pay the full amount at the beginning? 
No.  The full amount is split up into two payments.  50% of the works price (minus the non-refundable fee) is due within 30 days of accepting the proposal.  Once the painting is completed, the remaining 50% is due within 7 days after I finish the work.  If this doesn't work for you, we can discuss other possible options.    
How long will it take?
Working with layers of oil paint and producing beautiful paintings takes time.  Time is based on the subject, size of your piece, and materials.  I start at a month and then go up from there. 
How do I pay?
You can pay using PayPal or Venmo, my email is [email protected] or you can pay by check.  PayPal is fast and secure and opening an account is easy and free.  
What medium do you use?
 I paint with oil paint on both panel and canvas surfaces. Even though oil paint is my child, I can also use acrylic, watercolor, graphic, and/or charcoal.  
Do you accept returns?
No, I do not accept returns.  Make sure to measure your space to make sure the painting will fit.
 ** You are the collector; you will be involved throughout this process and will receive a beautiful painting.  Before sending your invoice and/or shipping out your painting to you, I will send you an email of your image for your approval.  I will also send you images throughout the painting process.
